Steve - SPARKS

Ever since we read “Ignite Your Life” and later spent time with Barry and Karen Meguiar, my wife and I have been lit up like a Christmas Tree sharing our faith and praying for folks! We have too many stories to list right now but here are just a few. Suffice it to say we have been praying with Servers at restaurants everywhere. The personal things folks share are amazing! Those who say they’re doing well, we pray that they’ll keep doing well and that they would get closer to Jesus, whether they are Believers or not.

We’re also praying over the phone with Customer Service Reps at Geico, Health Insurance people, Verizon, etc. Customer service calls have become opportunities to lead everyone, everyday, closer to Jesus! For example, I’m was with a major health insurance company and the lady helped me. I said, “You’ve been a blessing to me, I’d like to bless you. Is there anything I can pray for you for?” She said, “No one’s every asked that before.” She told me something. After we prayed I asked her if she had a church. She said no and hadn’t been for quite some time. When I asked her where she lived, which could have been anywhere since it’s a national company, turns out she lives in my town! She started coming to our church!

At my routine checkup, I told my Primary Care Physician that she has been a blessing in my life all these years. I then said that I’d like to bless her and is there anything I could pray for? She thought about it for a really long time and then said that she’d keep loving what she does for patients. Then she said forget that but if I could pray for her Aunt that just got diagnosed with cancer. I told her we could make two requests. The next day I get a text from my Doctor stating the cancer is gone but they want to keep checking her every 6 months!

By the way, my wife and I have always prayed for folks and witnessed but this book has taken us to another level. In fact, we’re leading a home group through our church based on the book. A chapter a week and it’s igniting folks to do this too!
