I have Been Waiting for you

Matthew 18:12
What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them goes astray, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go out to search for the one that is lost?

Living alone in NC apartment at Lake Norman, no money, no credit, pawned everything of value and last few dollars spent on wine and sweet potatoes. Received second eviction notice, have till the end of month to be out, or be moved out by the Sheriff.
Drank a bottle of wine and dozed off in a haze of alcohol. It is dark and I see a lost sheep in the forest. I hear howling and it is the wolves coming after the sheep. The sheep begins to run but the sounds are getting closer. The sheep keeps running as fast as he can and sees the edge of cliff in the distance. He must decide, run off the cliff and die from the fall or be torn apart and be devoured by the wolves. As the sheep approaches the cliff there appears a person with arms open and says, “I have been waiting for you, I knew you would come this way”. At that the wolves stop and are quiet. The sheep is safe and once again follows the Shepherd back to the flock.

The next day following the dream of the sheep being chased by wolves and being saved by the Shepard. It became real, I could hear in the distance wolves beginning to howl. Previously I had a meeting with a man about funding a project I wanted to do. He said he would look over the business plan and think about it. A week had gone by, and my eviction was eminent. I can hear the wolves howling and they are getting closer. Did he just write me off? So, I called him and told him of my situation. He invited me to come and discuss my project plan.
So now I needed to go 110 miles from where I was to his office and back with a car almost out of gas. The howling gets louder. I got in the car and went to the closest gas station. I put my credit card in the pump, and it was denied. Now what. The howling is getting closer and louder. Not knowing what to do I just got in the car and went to the next gas station. I put my card in the pump and WOW it worked! I got a full tank of gas, more than I needed. The wolves have quieted somewhat. That was the first miracle. I got to his office and talked with him, and he agreed to fund my project, the second miracle. The wolves are quiet. Then I asked him for $10,000 dollars. He agreed! The third miracle. The wolves turned and ran.
What a gracious God and what a wonderful man. I found out later that after I had talked with him on the phone about my situation earlier, he had his business manager find a furnished apartment for me. While I did not need the apartment it showed me that there are some wonderful people in the world. It also taught me that the good Shepherd does lead His sheep into green pastures and beside the still waters and He does go and find them when they have wondered.
Ps. 23:1-2
The LORD is my shepherd,
I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters.

A lesson I learned. if you are a sheep in the good shepherd’s flock, He will come to find you. It does not matter that you are probably filthy dirty stained by wandering in the wrong places, He will find you, and clean you up (Ps 32:3 He restoreth my soul) and return you to the flock.
