My Christmas Angel
It was Christmas in 1995 and I was separated from my wife. I was living in an apartment in Saratoga CA. There was no Christmas tree, no Christmas lights, no Christmas cards, no Christmas calls, and a business that was failing. It seemed as if I did not exist. It was a cloudy overcast morning Christmas Day, so I got in the car and decided to drive up across the Golden Gate Bridge to Stinson beach and look for shark’s teeth. So, I drove up highway 280 to San Francisco and then across the Golden Gate bridge up Highway 1 and down into Stinson beach where there were just a couple other cars there in the parking lot, hard to believe. I did not see a single soul. So, I got out of the car and walked to the beach and began to walk north. After a while you get to a point beyond the park and there are huge piles of rocks riff raff, that are stacked up along the beach to protect the houses on the other side from ocean storms. They are piled at least 10 feet high. As I
approached that area, I’m just walking slow looking down on the ground and suddenly, I look up on the pile of rocks I’m next to and there is a person dressed in Scottish regalia with a bagpipe. As I was standing there looking at him, he began to play Amazing Grace. It was overwhelming, I did not know what to say or think, just letting the tears roll down my face. After he had finished playing Amazing Grace he was gone, and I never saw him again. So that was Christmas Day 1995. Thank you, Jesus, for reminding me no matter where I am you are there.
John 3:16
GOD so loved the world that He gave His only Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.
