I grew up in Rochester, NY, the last of 8 children. My dad was 56 years old when I was born and my mom, 43.
My oldest brother was 25 years my senior. So, to say the least, my experience was uncommon.
I went to Catholic elementary school and high school. I was baptized as a baby, had my first Holy Communion, was confirmed and even married in the Church. As a teenager I was very rebellious and far from God and this continued into my early adulthood.
When I was in my early 20s I was invited to a Bible church and I was introduced to the Bible and accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.
I’m now 70, been married almost 50 years to the girl I led the Lord to, have 5 children and 12 grandchildren.
Two of my sons are pastors and my son in law is a pastor.
This is not about me, this is about what the Lord can do to a rebellious, self destructing, angry kid who just asks him in quiet desperation for help.
God is good, he is faithful, and he will deliver you through any difficulty if you just humbly ask him.
